Come and work with us! The Merivale Hand Clinic is always looking for the right people to join our team. We welcome both registered hand therapists, and physiotherapists or occupational therapists with interest or experience in hand therapy.
We have a structured mentoring programme for all new staff which includes regular teaching and supervision with our senior hand therapists during your first year with the clinic. We also provide support through the postgraduate study at AUT, splinting courses and regular peer review that is required to achieve registration with Hand Therapy New Zealand. We have regular in-service training with visiting speakers, and always encourage therapists to share their skills and experience with the team.
Our 12 hand therapists and five administrators are a happy and collaborative team who work together to support each other and our patients. The Merivale Hand Clinic core values are teamwork, professional excellence and personal development.
Our Clinics
The clinic currently operates four fulltime clinics and also works at an acute care fracture clinic. We work closely with local physios, GPs and surgeons. A recent addition to our service is a clinic at a newly opened hand and upper limb centre. We aim to provide career and clinical opportunities to keep work interesting.
